The Catskill Police Department, announces another arrest for drug sales. A 38 year old male from the Village of Catskill was arrested for Criminal Sale of Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substances with intent to sell in the 3rd degree.

The Catskill Police Department developed information regarding the illegal sale of “Meth” at a residence at 9 Summit Avenue in the Village of Catskill. On June 15, 2017 at approximately 7:30 A.M. after an intensive investigation by the Catskill Police Department, the Greene County District Attorney Office, the New York State Police and the Greene County Sheriffs Department, a search warrant was executed at the residence which yielded a quantity of Methamphetamine, illegal control substances pills, packaging materials and a scale. Justin Fernandez 38 years old of Catskill, New York, was arrested during the search warrant on a sealed indictment which was handed down by the Greene County District Attorney on June 14th. Fernandez was arrested for 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell (Methamphetamine,) in the third degree, class B-Felonies and two counts of Criminal Sale of a Control Substance in the third degree, class B- Felonies.

Assisting in the investigation were members of the New York State Police BCI division, the Green County Sheriff’s Department, and the Greene County District Attorney Office. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
